The administration in the Indian capital, New Delhi, has been on its toes since last week as Indian opposition parties and an informal movement known as Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) are staging protests over the removal of millions of names from voter ‌lists. 

Indian authorities enforced an unprecedented crackdown on demonstrations across Delhi on Saturday and Sunday, as student groups and citizen networks, including lawyers and doctors organized to provide support for people protesting a massive purge of voter lists. The government deployed over 20,000 police and paramilitary personnel to prevent protestors from gathering in the city, pulling forces from border areas, including Kashmir, into Delhi.

Pakistan rejected The New York Times' report on the alleged use of Pakistani Air Force fighter jets against the Armed Forces in Yemen, with the Information Ministry calling the report "fake and fabricated."

The New York Times, citing a senior Pakistani official, had reported that Pakistan's Air Force fighter jets are being used in Saudi military strikes against the Yemeni Armed Forces, while thousands of Pakistani troops have reportedly been deployed to the kingdom, citing Pakistani military and US defense officials.

Russia has just wrapped up hosting mass military drills involving troops and defense technology from eight countries which state media hailed as applying lessons learned from the Ukraine war.
