WW3: Fighters From Turkey Are Pouring Into Syria And Attacking Targets Despite The Ceasefire

The ceasefire in Syria is a joke. Turkish military units continue to mass along the border, and militants are pouring across the border to attack targets in northern Syria. The Prime Minister of Turkey is now openly admitting that his government is supporting the militants that are trying to overthrow the Syrian government, and the Turkish government has also made it abundantly clear that they have no plans to stop shelling the Kurds on the other side of the border. So despite the “ceasefire”, the truth is that the threat of World War 3 breaking out in the Middle East is greater than ever.

ACTIVISTS ARRESTED, BEING HELD PRISONER FOR BRINGING A PEACE OFFERING TO WISCONSIN DRONE BASE

Last week, peace activists Brian Terrell and Kathy Kelly were arrested as they attempted to deliver a load of bread and a letter to drone operators working at Volk Field, an air base where drones are launched. On behalf of a group called Creative Nonviolence, Terrell and Kelly were hoping to deliver their peace offering to a few drone operators and hopefully have a conversation.

However, they were quickly arrested for trespassing on the airbase.

Before her arrest, Kathy Kelly said:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder just how much stock this judge has in companies which produce weaponry.

And since when has the attempt to deliver a loaf of bread, and letter to a military base become "illegal"?!? There was absolutely no violence here, whatsoever.

But I guess that's the norm in a culture where the alleged "bad words" are bleeped out of the dialogue in a movie on TV, yet we are able to rain hot, blazing death with drone missiles on innocents abroad who just had the enormous bad look to be at the wrong place at exactly the wrong time when the drone strikes came.

Sometimes, I absolutely despair of this country, and the trajectory of its future, over time.

U.S. Test Fires Nuclear ICBM, Warns "We Are Prepared To Use Nuclear Weapons"

What was more disturbing than the actual launch, however, was the rhetoric behind it: instead of passing it off as another routine test, and letting US "adversaries" make up their own mind about what is going on, Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work, who witnessed the launch, said the U.S. tests, conducted at least 15 times since January 2011, send a message to strategic rivals like Russia, China and North Korea that Washington has an effective nuclear arsenal. "That’s exactly why we do this," Work told reporters before the launch.

Of course, the #1 unspoken rule when launching ICBMs is to never explicitly say why you are doing it. By breaking said rule, it marks a much greater escalation in international diplomacy than merely test firing the nuclear-capable ballistic missile.

That, however, was not an issue and Work piled on, with the following stunner

Caught On Tape: U.S. Test Fires Nuclear ICBM, Warns "We Are Prepared To Use Nuclear Weapons"

Less than two years ago, news of Russia test-firing an ICBM just as the east Ukraine civil war was heating up, was sufficient to send the stock market into a brief tailspin. Since then, the launches of nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles has become an almost daily occurrence, with the market hardly batting an eyelid.

In fact, it happened just last night at 11:01pm PST at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, where - for the second time this week - the US test-fired its second intercontinental ballistic missile in the past seven days, seeking to demonstrate its nuclear arms capacity at a time of rising strategic tensions with Russia, North Korea, China and the middle east.

CAMERON BRAGS OF ‘BRILLIANT’ UK ARMS TRADE AS EU EMBARGOES SAUDI

European ministers have embarrassed David Cameron by voting to impose an arms embargo on Saudi Arabia on the same day the British prime minister praised the UK for selling “brilliant” arms to the country.

Speaking at a BAE Systems factory in Preston, the prime minister said the UK had pushed the sale of Eurofighter Typhoons to countries in the Middle East, including Oman and Saudi Arabia.

His comments come as a report by Amnesty International reveals that EU and US arms trading provided Saudi Arabia with arms worth billions of dollars in 2015. The Saudis are engaged in a military offensive against Houthi rebels in Yemen. The latest figures from Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) suggest some 6,400 civilians have been killed or injured in the conflict.

Cameron’s speech in Preston came at the same time the European Parliament voted to impose an EU-wide ban on arms exports to Saudi Arabia, citing criticism from the UN of its bombing in Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bravo to the EU, and shame on David Cameron, and the British government, for having allowed these arms sales to Saudi Arabia, a country with a human rights record JUST to the right of that of Attila the Hun.

And what has Saudi Arabia done with these weapons?!? Enabled by the US government in a proxy war against Yemen, to reinstate the US puppet Al-Hadi, the Saudi Arabian military has slaughtered thousands of innocents, and their targets have included schools, hospitals, ambulances, and private residences.

Mr. Cameron, in this slaughter committed by the Saudi military, the British government has been complicit in war crimes, and crimes against humanity.

But hey, to the weapons manufactures in the UK, it's "money uber alles", right?!?

So at the end of the day, no one in the military industrial complex ever loses sleep about the bloody and immoral crimes against innocent civilians those weapons, in the hands of people who have had their consciences collectively, surgically removed, might perpetrate.

I mean, civilian non-coms, including children, women, and the medically fragile elderly getting blown to smithereens, are just collateral damage, right?!? No big deal.

And THIS, from the country which gave the world the Magna Carta?!?

You, David Cameron, and the British government, should collectively be hanging your heads in shame right now.

But you have no shame, do you, sir?!?

And no matter the torrent of brutal images of the carnage this war has created you see, day after day, through private intel dispatches, you have no utterly no moral qualms whatsoever about any degree of personal, or governmental, responsibility you hold for having been complicit in causing it to happen.

Because it's all about the money, right?!?!?

US general: US ready to conquer Russia

The United States was ready "to fight and to win," Russia in Europe, if necessary, said the head of the US European Command General Philip Breedlove, addressing the Armed Services Committee of the House of Congress.

I do not want to go to war, but we are obliged to offer opportunities for it, said Breedlove spoke about the necessity of increasing military forces in Europe, reports Sputnik.

In January, the US military command in Europe published a revamped military strategy on the European continent, which means the containment of Russia and NATO support.

Breedlove said that the United States studying the possibility of containment of Russia in the Arctic, but that has not prepared to say how it might be achieved.

All About Russia After All: Washington’s Vow of No New Arms Race Exposed

The nuclear non-proliferation treaty – agreed to by both the US and Russia – calls on all signatories to further the goal of nuclear disarmament.

The Obama administration, however, has found a loophole in the agreement, and plans to funnel nearly $1 trillion into upgrading America’s nuclear arsenal. While these improvements include modifying nuclear-equipped ballistic missiles to make them more accurate, and installing adjustable yields to make nuclear bombs more practical, the US maintains the moves are aimed at sustaining current stockpiles, and are not, technically, upgrades.

Military action against North Korea possible: Top US cmdr.

The United States does not rule out a possible military action against North Korea, if Pyongyang continues to develop its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs, says a top US military commander.

On January 6, North Korea said it had successfully detonated a hydrogen bomb, a move that outraged Washington and prompted Congress to hit back with more sanctions against the country.

The standoff between Washington and Pyongyang further escalated on February 7, after North Korea successfully launched a long-range missile allegedly carrying an earth observation satellite.

The missile was thought to have a range of over 10,000 kilometers, enough to reach the US mainland.

Speaking before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, Admiral Harry Harris, commander of US Pacific Command, said North Korea’s nuclear test was a global threat and a US military action is possible if such moves continue.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The one thing the US government refuses to do is to get all parties, including North, and South Korea, China, and the US, seated at a negotiation table to devise a workable peace treaty with which to supplant the armistice, which is simply a cessation of hostile military activity.

The restraints against nuclear, and other, weapons developments must be spelled out very clearly in that treaty.

But unfortunately, the only way North Korea has been able to get the US government's attention has been through its weapons development.

Someone in the US government should have the courage and honesty to start to make this happen; otherwise, the tensions in the region may well escalate to a full-bore war with China, which is just as pledged to assist its client state, North Korea, as is the US government to its client state, South Korea.

Turkey's Ankara False Flag Blaming Syrian Kurds Clears Pathway to Turkish-Saudi Gulf State Invasion of Syria and WWIII

By Joachim Hagopian
February 22, 2016

Turkey’s been blasting away all month long shelling heavy artillery mortars from its side along the Turkish border killing Syrian National Army soldiers, Syrian Kurd forces (YPG), at least, one Russian advisor and defenseless civilians in border villages inside Syria. Widespread reportage of the ongoing daily Turkish artillery barrage into Syria was publicly confirmed by the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu since February 13th. Though a NATO member, longtime close US ally and next to Empire and Israel among the world’s leading partners-in-crime for state-sponsored terrorism, earlier this week Turkey was asked by Washington to cease its border aggression. Yet Turkish President Recep Erdogan has elected to defy his US master and continues his daily bombardment of northern Syrian villages and Syrian militarily controlled outposts abandoned recently by decimated escaping Islamic State terrorists.

Europe is following Obama – washing its hands of Palestine and why

The conclusion I draw from everything I have learned from nearly half a century of engagement in various capacities with the conflict in and over Palestine that became Israel is that there are two main reasons for the refusal of the major Western powers to confront Zionism in order to provide the Palestinians with an acceptable amount of justice..

One is the influence (declining a little but still awesome) that the Zionist lobby in all of its manifestations has in the corridors of power together with unlimited funds to buy politicians.

The other is fear that if pushed further than they were prepared to go, Israel’s leaders would press a nuclear button or two and more if needed.

This fear is no doubt reinforced in the minds of those Western leaders who are aware of what Prime Minister Golda Meir once said to me in an interview for the BBC’s Panorama programme. As readers of my book and one or two of my blog posts over the years know, she said that in a doomsday situation “Israel would be prepared to take the region and the whole world down with it.”

Experts: Invasion of Syria Could Lead to Nuclear War

The Threat of Nuclear War Is Now HIGHER Than During the Soviet Era

Turkey previously shot down a Russian jet.

Now, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are threatening to invade Syria.

How dangerous could this get, in a worst case scenario?

Robert Parry – the investigative reporter who broke the Iran-Contra story for the Associated Press and Newsweek – wrote yesterday:

A source close to Russian President Vladimir Putin told me that the Russians have warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Moscow is prepared to use tactical nuclear weapons if necessary to save their troops in the face of a Turkish-Saudi onslaught. Since Turkey is a member of NATO, any such conflict could quickly escalate into a full-scale nuclear confrontation.

The international community has condemned a car bomb attack in Ankara that killed 28 people and wounded 61 others near the armed forces’ headquarters, parliament and other government buildings.

Meanwhile, the White House said it condemned the attack in Ankara and that stands in solidarity with Turkey.

“We stand together with Turkey, a NATO ally, a strong partner, and a valued member of the counter-Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant coalition in the face of this attack,” said Ned Price, a spokesman for the White House National Security Council.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel also released a statement on Feb. 17, in which she sharply condemned the “horrifying” attack.

The chancellor said she was horrified by the attack in Ankara and that her thoughts were with the families of the victims and the injured.

Wrong on Iraq? Not Everyone

***
In September 2002, Scott Ritter stepped in the path of the White House’s PR blitz, challenging the administration and quickly becoming one of very few prominent critics of the looming war. In a Chicago Tribune op-ed (9/10/02), Ritter exposed a deception on the part of Vice President Dick Cheney that should have sent reporters scurrying to catch up. Cheney claimed in an August 2002 speech (8/26/02) that the Iraqi regime had been “very busy enhancing its capabilities in the field of chemical and biological agents,” and continued “to pursue the nuclear program they began so many years ago.” To back this up, Cheney added, “We’ve gotten this from the firsthand testimony of defectors, including Saddam’s own son-in-law”—a reference to Lt. Gen. Hussein Kamel, the former Iraqi weapons chief and Iraq’s highest ranking defector. (See Extra!, 5-6/03.)

Ritter pointed out that Cheney was omitting an inconvenient part of Kamel’s story:
Throughout his interview with UNSCOM, a UN special commission, Hussein Kamal reiterated his main point—that nothing was left. “All chemical weapons were destroyed,” he said. “I ordered destruction of all chemical weapons. All weapons—biological, chemical, missile, nuclear—were destroyed.

The F-35’s Terrifying Bug List

The Pentagon’s top testing official has weighed and measured the F-35 and found it wanting. Technology
The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter programs the most expensive military program in the world, is even more broken than previously thought. The jet can’t tell old parts from new ones, randomly prevents user logins into the logistics information system, and trying to eject out of it will likely result in serious neck injury and maybe death. A Pentagon office is warning that the plane is being rushed into service.

The Pentagon’s office of testing and evaluation on Monday released a report detailing major problems, or “deficiencies” with the aircraft. The report follows the release of a December memo by Michael Gilmore, the Department of Defense’s director for Operational Test and Evaluation, or OT&E. The report goes on to question the logic of pushing other governments to purchase large blocks of the aircraft until the issues are fixed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Our military is absolutely doomed, if they have to go into battle (particularly against the Russians or Chinese) with crud like this, (pardon my French).

I hate and loathe war, because in my world, there is always a way to resolve geopolitical differences other than a military conflict scenario; but if war is going to happen, I want our men and women in uniform to have the absolutely best equipment possible.

In every contract for every piece of aircraft and weaponry the US military buys, including items manufactured by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (which manufactures this POC), there should be a clause which stipulates that not having whatever they are selling completely operational, delivered on time and within budget as a crime punishable by the fullest extent of the law, and that the chief executives who do not do that and are found guilty by a jury of their peers, serve hard jail time.

This, I think, would "cure the problem", and I frankly think every man and women in uniform for the United States deserves this.

Unfortunately, you have the "when pigs fly" factor here, because politicians get rewarded handsomely for supporting various elements n the military/industrial complex by awarding contracts to them.

Cheney Calls Trump a 'Liberal Democrat' After Bush 9/11 Claims

Former Vice President Dick Cheney wants Donald Trump to get his facts straight. Cheney, who served under President George W. Bush from 2001-2009, sounded off on Trump for claiming that Bush failed to keep Americans safe in the wake of the September 11 terror attacks at Saturday’s GOP debate in South Carolina. Trump then held two press conferences on the campaign trail this weekend in case the press didn’t hear him the first time.

(*When Jeb called the family into his campaign , I didn't realize he meant the WHOLE family .

claiming that Bush failed to keep Americans safe in the wake of the September 11 terror attacks' I don't recall that coming from Trump . I just remeber him saying 9/11 happened on Bush' watch . Turkey Is About to Find Out That 'No' Means 'No'

Despite a whirlwind of statements from several Arab nations, NATO and the UN, Russia has only said two things:

1) If ground troops from any nation enter Syria without Damascus' permission, it will be a declaration of war." AND;

2) The Americans - the American President and our Arab partners - have to ask themselves if they want permanent war."

Other than those two public statements, Russia has been very quiet. The fact that the Russians have said nothing is a very revealing thing: There is no more left to say.

Trump’s crafty move on Iraq: His war comments allow conservatives to move past the Bush years while saving face

Trump's Iraq comments were initially surprising, but they give conservatives a way to put Bush years behind them
***
Trump accused the former president of lying about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and called the war “a big, fat mistake.” Trump also sneered at Jeb Bush that the “World Trade Center came down during your brother’s reign.” These comments range from demonstrably true (the 9/11 comment) to arguable (there’s no proof that Bush knowingly lied, but his administration did heavily massage the evidence to get their preexisting desire to start a war in Iraq). Perhaps unaccustomed to hearing reality-based rhetoric during their debates, the Republican audience booed Trump loudly for this.

US SHRUGS OFF YET ANOTHER REPORT OF CLUSTER BOMBS LAUNCHED BY SAUDIS IN YEMEN

Following a new report from Human Rights Watch on the use of banned cluster bombs by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, the United States State Department has once again given a statement so the government may appear as if it is concerned. But there have been consistent cluster bomb reports since the U.S.-backed intervention was launched in March 2015, and each time business as usual has resumed with no regard for the civilians killed by these explosives.

On December 29, 2015, State Department deputy spokesperson Mark Toner said, “I don’t have anything here that conclusively points to or conclusively speaks to the use of cluster munitions. We have expressed these concerns, though, about their use in the past.”

A reporter pressed Kirby on September 9, 2015, on how cluster bombs were different than barrel bombs, because the U.S. government condemned the Syrian government for using barrel bombs that killed civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Cluster bombs, when they fall, and do not detonate, look very much like toys of some kind.

For curious children and toddlers, these cluster bombs do a tremendous job of tearing them apart, limb from limb, when they do detonate.

And of course, selling these weapons to a government with a human rights record just to the right of Attila the Hun, means you know precisely how they are going to be used, which is precisely what the US government has done here.

And when it comes to money for the US weapons manufacturers, like Textron, the US government has utterly no shame whatsoever;
and of course, the cluster bomb manufacturers, I am quite sure, contribute heavily, both overtly and covertly, to both sides of the aisle, to make sure that the production, and sale, of these weapons continues, unabated.

A GOLDEN AGE FOR PENTAGON WASTE

As we have often noted one of the giant logs stuck in the eye of many conservatives, people who typically argue for smaller government, is that they often defend military spending with little reservation. Defense, we are told is enumerated in the Constitution and as such is a legitimate expenditure. And yes, defense, is enumerated in the Constitution. Massive unchecked spending, undeclared wars, and bases around the world are not however enumerated in the Constitution.

(From US News)

Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, has called for a full audit of the unit responsible for the most egregious Afghan cases. And on Jan. 20th, the Senate Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee held hearings on the subject. The Pentagon’s witness, Principal Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Brian McKeon, was decidedly on the defensive as senators from both parties peppered him with questions about his department’s poor record keeping and lack of accountability.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This waste and corruption is going to bite the US military in a very sensitive spot, if allowed to continue to go unchecked.

With Russian and Chinese weapons makers, when items are field deployed, they are delivered on time, reasonably within budget, and work as advertised, if not better.

With American weapons makers, there is a nearly incestuous relationship between Congress (whose members are supported, covertly and overtly, by the large weapons makers) and those companies which get the defense contracts.

The outcome of all this is that when US weaponry is delivered, it is very late, has generally had huge cost over-runs, and doesn't perform anywhere near what is specified, once it is field deployed.

IF the US gets into a major war with Russia, and/or or China, the brokenness of our weapons systems is not going to help matters one bit.

A bio-chemical warfare “medical research” facility, like the one in Tbilisi, is almost exactly the same as a fully-fledged bio-chemical warfare production facility. All that would be required is to use one portion of a research facility for this purpose, maybe a few secret labs and underground or outbuilding production facilities which are easy to hide. How you tell one from the other is by examining the plans, the security protocols and the budget. You then look at the management of the facility, its history and examine what diseases it “researches.”

Flu Epidemic Emerged From U.S Bacteriologic Laboratory in Kramatorsk

"In the area of Kramatorsk there is bacteriologic laboratory belonging to the USA. There was a leak, of the virus H1N1, so-called Swine flu, but it has menacing potential, as there was a leak of the virus causing fulminant of severe pneumonia. Very often the carriers of virus have them both. In the beginning it affected Ukrainian soldiers en masse, DPR intelligence reported that bodies were just left in the snow and nearly 40 bodies were taken from a single unit. Then it spreaded to the front line. The situation is very difficult" - he wrote on his page on LiveJournal.

"All the doctors are aware of what they are facing. These are artificially derived viruses!

The goal of U.S. foreign policy is to support the military-industrial complex through 'interminable war,' reveals former Bush official

As reported by Zero Hedge, retired U.S. Army Col. Lawrence Wilkerson said in a recent interview that the main "purpose" today of American foreign policy "is to support the complex that we have created in the national security state that is fueled, funded and powered by interminable war."

Yes, that classic "military-industrial complex" that President Dwight D. Eisenhower, one of our finest and most successful Army generals, warned Americans about during his final State of the Union Address on Jan. 17, 1961.

SPIES IN THE SKY

AMERICAN AND BRITISH INTELLIGENCE secretly tapped into live video feeds from Israeli drones and fighter jets, monitoring military operations in Gaza, watching for a potential strike against Iran, and keeping tabs on the drone technology Israel exports around the world.

Under a classified program code-named “Anarchist,” the U.K.’s Government Communications Headquarters, or GCHQ, working with the National Security Agency, systematically targeted Israeli drones from a mountaintop on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. GCHQ files provided by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden include a series of “Anarchist snapshots” — thumbnail images from videos recorded by drone cameras. The files also show location data mapping the flight paths of the aircraft. In essence, U.S. and British agencies stole a bird’s-eye view from the drones.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The troubling questions are, where, precisely, is the Israeli government looking at using these armed drones, and to whom are they selling this technology?!?

They have a history - and track record - of selling to anyone who has the money to buy; North Korea, perhaps?!?

Staff at Paris Airport Angry after Finding Fake Bombs ordered by US Embassy

A security exercise gone wrong saw tempers flare in a Paris airport, after fake explosive devices were discovered by FedEx workers in a ripped package, sources told AFP.

Employees of the American courier service at Charles de Gaulle airport were shocked to find a pressure cooker filled with nuts and bolts inside a package in transit from the US to Tunisia.

On further inspection they discovered a container of other similar devices, along with what appeared to be detonators, said Frederic Petit, who represents the company’s employees for the CGT union.

The staff alerted authorities of “imminent danger,” and officials arrived to test the device using sniffer dogs and X-ray machines.

A security source at the airport said the devices were actually decoys bound for the US embassy in Tunisia that were being used for a training exercise.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks to me like a false flag operation which went south, no matter what the US government says.

Remember: pressure cooker bombs were used at the Boston Marathon bombing;

Israel supplies South Sudan government with wiretapping equipment

Israel sold wiretapping equipment to South Sudan even after the civil war broke out, and this equipment was used to identify and arrest opponents of the government, a UN report has charged.

The report, compiled by a panel of experts tasked with examining the implementation of sanctions against South Sudan, is the final version of an interim report published in August. It concluded that both sides in the country’s civil war are managing to buy arms and other military equipment despite the sanctions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israeli arms and communications companies will sell anything to any country, no matter its human rights records, if profits are to be made.

One has to wonder just how soon it will decide to sell its nuclear arms technology to the highest bidder.

A Saudi-led coalition fighting in neighboring Yemen has targeted civilians with air strikes and some of the attacks could be a crimes against humanity, United Nations sanctions monitors said in an annual report to the Security Council. The report by the U.N. panel that monitors the conflict in Yemen for the Security Council, seen by Reuters on Wednesday, sparked calls by rights groups for the United States and Britain to halt sales of weapons to Saudi Arabia that could be used in such attacks.

Germany and the UNO against Syria

The neo-conservatives and liberal hawks who have been preparing the war against Syria since 2001 have been relying on several states from the UNO and the Gulf Co-operation Council. While we know about the role played by General David Petraeus in launching and pursuing the war until today, two personalities - Jeffrey Feltman (number 2 at the UNO) and Volker Perthes (Director of the main German think tank) - have remained in the shadows. Together, with the support of Berlin, they have been using and are still manipulating the United Nations in order to destroy Syria.

And in 2003, you told me Saddam Hussein had “weapons of mass destruction.”

More than half of Russia affected by flu epidemic

The flu epidemic thresholds are exceeded across 48 Russian regions, Anna Popova, head of the Russian consumer rights watchdog, said on Tuesday.

"As of January 26 morning, the epidemic thresholds are exceeded in 48 Russia’s constituent members," Popova said.

The Russian Federation comprises 85 constituent members.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Biological weapons do not have to kill their victims. IN fact, biological weapons are actually more effective if they do not. If the victims are ill, more people are used up taking care of them. That is the reason military weapons are designed to wound rather than kill outright.

Rearming for the apocalypse

Obama’s proposed “modernization” increases our vulnerability, not our security. The first and most obvious reason is that it will certainly lead other countries to seek equivalent arsenals of their own. It is especially upsetting to Russia, which already feels under increasing American threat as a result of our military maneuvers on its borders and the fact that many of our missiles are positioned in Germany, Turkey, and other countries near its territory. The Russian defense minister recently announced that in response to Obama’s plan, Russia will “bring five new strategic nuclear missile regiments into service.” China would surely match that escalation. If it does so, India will follow. Then Pakistan will jump into the race. It is a recipe for disaster.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This money would be far better spent on restoring our American infrastructure, which is crumbling to dust as I type this.

“THE PENTAGON HAS NO CLUE HOW MANY WEAPONS IT HAS LOST TO ISIS”

For more than a decade, the United States has supplied huge quantities of weapons and military hardware to the Iraqi government—and a large chunk of that equipment has disappeared and landed in the hands of ISIS fighters and members of Iranian-backed Shiite militias responsible for massacring civilians. Everything from M-16s and bullets to Humvees and tanks have been lost. But neither the US nor Iraqi governments can say how much US-supplied materiel has been diverted to militant groups or how it’s ending up there.

Vladimir Putin’s Russia: Perfect Foil To The Anglo-American Axis And Their New World ‘Order’

One of the best kept secrets which predicated the inevitable collapse of Soviet communism and the subsequent breakup of the USSR is that it actually occurred in a manner not too unlike a carefully controlled demolition. Yet Another Military-Industrial-Complex Power Grab

After examining 14 million records, including data on campaign contributions, lobbying expenditures, federal budget allocations and spending, we found that, on average, for every dollar spent on influencing politics, the nation’s most politically active corporations received $760 from the government. Israel vs Iran: Israel Loses, *Big* Time

First, there has never been any real evidence of an Iranian military nuclear program, but even more important is the fact that Iran never had any need for nuclear weapons. A lot of anti-Iranian propaganda is directly predicated on the notion that having nuclear weapons is highly desirable, yields some big advantage, and that all nations would want to acquire them. This is utter nonsense. In reality, possessing a few nuclear devices would only turn these devices into high priority targets for destruction by the USA and/or Israel. And even if, by some miracle, the Iranians managed to hide these devices while deploying them on missiles or aircraft, using any one such device would guarantee a massive retaliation from the Empire. What is the point of having a few nukes when Israel has hundreds?

Israel and the South African Nuclear Bomb Documents

Secret South African documents reveal that Israel offered to sell nuclear warheads to the apartheid regime, providing the first official documentary evidence of the state's possession of nuclear weapons. The "top secret" minutes of meetings between senior officials from the two countries in 1975 show that South Africa's defence minister, PW Botha, asked for the warheads and Shimon Peres, then Israel's defence minister and now its president, responded by offering them "in three sizes". The two men also signed a broad-ranging agreement governing military ties between the two countries that included a clause declaring that "the very existence of this agreement" was to remain secret.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Now that a deal has been reached with Iran over its non-existent nuclear weapons, and the sanctions lifted, it is time to remember that only one nation in the Middle East actually has nuclear weapons, and that is Israel, which has so many nuclear warheads that, as these documents show, they tried to sell one to the former government of South Africa.

Left unanswered; who ELSE did Israel sell nuclear weapons to!

IAEA Director General’s Statement on Iran

Today, I released a report confirming that Iran has completed the necessary preparatory steps to start the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. The report was submitted to the IAEA Board of Governors and to the United Nations Security Council.

It was issued after Agency inspectors on the ground verified that Iran has carried out all measures required under the JCPOA to enable Implementation Day to occur.

This paves the way for the IAEA to begin verifying and monitoring Iran’s nuclear-related commitments under the agreement, as requested by the U.N. Security Council and authorised by the IAEA Board.

Closing the 'Collapse Gap': The USSR Was Better Prepared for Collapse than the US

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I am not an expert or a scholar or an activist. I am more of an eye-witness. I watched the Soviet Union collapse, and I have tried to put my observations into a concise message. I will leave it up to you to decide just how urgent a message it is.

My talk tonight is about the lack of collapse-preparedness here in the United States. I will compare it with the situation in the Soviet Union, prior to its collapse. The rhetorical device I am going to use is the "Collapse Gap" – to go along with the Nuclear Gap, and the Space Gap, and various other superpower gaps that were fashionable during the Cold War.

Broken Promises On Display At Native American Treaties Exhibit

For centuries, treaties have defined the relationship between many Native American nations and the U.S. More than 370 ratified treaties have helped the U.S. expand its territory and led to many broken promises made to American Indians.

A rare exhibit of such treaties at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., looks back at this history. It currently features one of the first compacts between the U.S. and Native American nations – the Treaty of Canandaigua.
