Thought for the day

"The two enemies of the people are criminals and Government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first." -- Thomas Jefferson

Major companies are quietly adding insects to their food products, implementing a goal established by the World Economic Forum that seeks to have humans eat bugs as one of its purported keys to a sustainable planet.

On Sunday, carnivore diet guru Dr. Shawn Baker tweeted a photo of a bag of cheddar cheese puffs, only instead of being made of corn meal these snack foods were chock-full of insect protein.

Webmaster addition: If insects were really good for us and were tasty to humans they would already be a part of our historic diet!

Capri Sun is working overtime to recall thousands of the popular juice pouches for possible contamination.

Kraft Heinz -- which manufactures the child-centric drink -- has issued an official recall of 5,760 cases of Capri Sun that they say might be contaminated with a cleaning solution used at one of their production plants, which could've gotten into the product.

According to KH ... the problematic batch in question is tied to their Wild Cherry flavor, and it's hard to tell where exactly the possibly contaminated cases might've gone.

A popular oat milk from the trendy Oatly brand has been recalled due to potential microbial contamination as part of a wider recall of more than 50 products that are manufactured by Lyons Magnus.

Oh, the irony of "green" energy advocate and former Presidential hopeful Ralph Nader stepping into the Tesla Full Self-Driving debate and absolutely railing against Elon Musk's "technology"...

But that's exactly what has happened. Nader, who has been publicly critical of Tesla in the past, issued a damning statement this week, calling into question the safety of Tesla's flagship feature on its vehicles.

Nader's statement adds to a chorus of criticism about Tesla's Autopilot at the very same time that the NHTSA is conducting an investigation into the feature.

Outgoing Whole Foods CEO John Mackey raised concerns that "socialists are taking over" major establishments across the country.

Depicting himself as a "capitalist at heart," Mackey complained that rights such as the right to bear arms and freedom of speech are coming "under threat" as socialist influences start to dominate education, corporations, and other institutions.

Nearly three in 10 children who received Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine experienced heart effects afterwards, according to a new study.

Researchers studied 301 students across two schools in Thailand. The students were aged 13 to 18 and had received a dose of Pfizer’s vaccine without a serious adverse event. Most had no underlying disease, while 44 had conditions such as asthma and allergic rhinitis.

A judicial panel Thursday consolidated more than 31 lawsuits against Merck for injuries allegedly caused by its Gardasil HPV vaccine, rejecting Merck’s argument that doing so would increase vaccine hesitancy, spread misinformation about vaccines and cause a flood of ‘meritless’ injury claims.
